gidge
Are people benchmarking their OSX86 systems to see if they are comparable to real Macs? Are they comparable to similarly specd Macs or are they lower in general? i've noticed that on my laptop, scores are lower than what i think they should be. For example, i have e8400, 4 gig ram, and a 9800m gts but only getting 2400 or so on Geekbench. i'm thinking with these specs i should get a least low to mid 3000s. Hacks are usually faster for the simple reason that they run hardware not supported by Apple -> better gfx cards -> faster ram -> faster cpu (overclocked) There is very little differences in terms of speed between two identical hardware Mac <-> Hack. I would really put my finger on the support. A Mac is definitely easier to maintain... Upgrading, finding drivers can be a pain on an Hack...
