Mac drivers

Hello everyone. i am not sure if there is a post like this or not already. i've been going thru the search and didnt come across a sticky or a post.

 

here is the thing. i often try finding drivers for various hardware devices on these forums and usually end up reading 10's of different threads, and 100's of different replies to everything.

 

while i'm most often able to find the drivers i need, its is beyond time consuming going thru all this trouble. (also thinking about newer users to mac osx then it becomes even more discouraging)

 

here is what i thought. its great that we have such an immense resource here spread throughout all the forum pages but how about a very very simple list of devices --- and one click drivers, which includes the detailed installation instructions as a text file.

 

so what i am saying is why not gather the easiest to install drivers zip it with a little text file with the detailed step by step instructions for install. upload it somewhere and here we have the list of hardware for everyone to just click and download.

 

again if this has been done before, mods please feel free to remove this post. but this could be one of the greatest stickies as well.

 

 

 

so here is my contribution (gathered 2 super easy to install drivers for very common hardware created a small text file with step by step installation and uploaded it somewhere)

1- The name and model of the hardware ie. nvidia geforce 8400 (512mb ram etc).

2- link to the driver (www.mediafire.com/etcetcetcetc/etc.zip)

3- any notes (ie. works with 10.3/10.4/10.5/10.6)
