Updated to iDeneb 10.5.8 and now one of my Firewire 800 hard drives doesn't not mount.

What is strange is that I have a G-Tech Firewire 800 drive that does mount. Must have something to do with the chipsets the drives use.

I still have a copy of my 10.5.6 system, and I booted into that and it recognized and mounted my FW800 drive.

I'm assuming iDeneb 10.5.8 has a kext or something that isn't quite working with the FW800 drive. Does anyone know where I should look, or what file I should consider replacing to get my FW800 ports to work correctly again?

Thanks

HI,

I had the problem where my firewire drive was not recognised and after a few days of messing around found that if you delete applehpet.kext from system/library/extensions folder then reboot it fixes this and also makes the usb work at 2.0 speeds instead of 1.1.

Cheers
