platinum001
Hiya there, I am looking for a replacement for my August 2009 MacBook Pro, its specification is: * 7200rpm 500gb HDD * DVD-RW * 4GB RAM * NVIDIA GeForce 9400M + 9600M GT with 512MB * Firewire * USB * BlueTooth * Wifi I want to replace it, and I am not enormously bothered with whether the replacement hackintosh PC is a laptop or a desktop, but I really need it to work perfectly, so it: * sleep should work * if it's a laptop, i don't want to have to go about replacing the BIOS or wifi modules for compatability - it should just work either out of the box or with the drivers * will software update work? * can i install from a time machine backup? thanks a lot in advance for any info/advice! best regards to you all in this project! geiman
might be good to know what specs you want/need or what you are planning on using it for. Otherwise it would probably be quicker to browse the forum and find some people who have retail installs working well and pick what you like the best.
