I'm trying to install a retail copy of snow leopard onto my desktop, however both methods (boot132 boot cd, bootable usb stick) I've used yielded similar results.

My specs are an intel d955xbk mobo, intel pentium 955 xe, 4 gb ddr2 667, 3 sata hd's (2x maxtor 300gb (data and music) and a 74gb wd raptor (windows xp <-- which I'm trying to replace with SL)), 2 ide dvd-rw's, and a nvidia 7900gtx gfx card.

The problem is that if I boot from the boot-132 bootloader, my system will reset itself. And with the usb stick, it just looks past it and boots windows -- however the usb stick loads chameleon on my laptop with no problem.
