Using a $100 off code I got it for $599 Currently it has 1GB of ram and a 120GB harddrive. I don't have the laptop yet. It will get here on Wednesday, but I want to order more ram and a larger harddrive from newegg.com before it gets here, that way I have it ready. However, I can't find anywhere how much ram it supports officially. Im reading totally different things everywhere. Im assuming harddrive wise I can just get any 2.5" SATA harddrive. Im mostlikely going to get a 500GB 7200 RPM drive, sure battery life will be lower but speeds will be great. Im sure someone on here has this macbook and has upgraded ram and harddrive. Can someone please let me know what to order or link me to what you have ordered, it would be greatly appreciated. For those that want to see the link go here !! There are lots of websites and ram configurators saying the version I bought supports 4GBs. Kingston and people on user comments o newegg say it supports 4Gb. At the time I bought it (about 10 months ago), it was 1.5 years old unless you are going to run demanding apps on it, like video conversion/compression I wouldn't worry about 4 gig of ram. My wife's works great and runs really well with 10.6. If I lose a gig, but it stays dual-channel, im fine with that. I just wanted to have more then the 2GB minimum Apple's specs state. I did order a 2.5" 500GB 7200RPM drive, that I should have no problems with.
