FaNIX
Hi Everyone, This is my first post. I only decided to try and install OS X on my Notebook last night. I have downloaded the iPC OSX86 10.5.6 PPf5 Final. This is my notebook specs: (Packard Bell): Processor Intel® Core2 Duo CPU T5750 @ 2.00GHz, 2000 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s) CHIPSET: Intel GM965 (ICH-8 SHOUTHBRIDGE) VIDEO: Adapter Description Mobile Intel® 965 Express Chipset Family (GMAX3100) AUDIO: ALC660 (REALTEK) WIRELESS: INtel Wireless PRo 3945 LAN: RealTek 8136 As you can see, all my hardware is supported for iPC OSX86 10.5.6 This is what I did: 1. Inserted the DVD, booted with -v cpus=1 2. System booted to GUI. 3. Formated disk to MAC OS JOURNALED. 4. Customization: CHIPSET: Intel ICHx SATA Drivers VIDEO: Intel GMAX3100 AUDIO: ALC660 WIRELESS: Intel Pro 3945 NETWORK ADAPTER: PCGENRTL8139 I DID NOT SELECT ANYTHING IN THE PATCH OR KERNEL SECTION. Installation went 100%, I got to the GREEN screen after the installation and rebooted my system I then booted using -v -f cpus=1, it ran a lot of code on the screen, and then stoped at the following: "MAC FRAMEWORK SUCESSFULLY INITIALIZED" using 10485 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers Nothing happens after this... Please can someone help me? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/187611-ipc-osx86-1056-installbut-no-luck-after-that/ Share on other sites
FaNIX
OK I managed to resolve the problem, I just ticked the "ACPI Fix" option under Patches and it worked, but now I'm getting the " Still waiting for root device" Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/187611-ipc-osx86-1056-installbut-no-luck-after-that/#findComment-1273158 Share on other sites
FaNIX
OK I managed to resolve the problem, I just ticked the "ACPI Fix" option under Patches and it worked, but now I'm getting the "Still waiting for root device" OK, I also managed to get past this screen! When booting with the following flags, I am able to boot into safe mode without any problems! platform=x86pc -v -x But when booting normally, it boots to a light blue background, then it goes black with the cursor on the screen. I can move the mouse around, but nothing happens.. just a black screen with the mouse pointer... please help! Yes I managed to get past the "Still waiting for boot device" error, but Im stuck at the black screen with the mouse pointer. I'll try to re-install without selecting any VGA Drivers.
