srs5694
Based on what I've seen mentioned as specs, Toshiba laptops are all over the place in terms of components; the only commonality they have is "TOSHIBA" on the lid. That said, I've got a Toshiba A205-S5859. I did a brief writeup on the OSx86 Project's HCL wiki. The only thing I have to add to that is that I've now switched to the Voodoo kernel. I've not tried too hard to get things like sleep working better because I mostly use the laptop under Linux. flexer
Hi Rod, thank you for your interest. The situation about my laptop L30-105 is: I've installed a kalyway 10.5.2 with a voodookernel and all works fine except for wireless card and video card. I've installed iwi2200 driver and my intel 2200 works very well and stable on my and all other unprotected network. My video card is an Ati Xpress 200m without QE/CI capability. I've reached a good result using callisto fb and I've got a 1280x800 resolution. After that, I've used a "iDeneb 10.5.8Combo update" for updating the system. At first boot I've used "-F -x" option and get a working system. Once system was up, I've repaired disk permissions with DiskUtility. At this moment everythings "vital" works. The only issue is with "stop" function but, like you, for my jobs I've a linux Sabayon 4.2 partition in dual boot via grub and for that reason I don't spent a lot of time for resolving the stop issue. If someone have my same laptop and need help, although my poor english, I'll try to help.
