nu1mlock
Hello! A couple of days ago, I installed Leopard 10.5.6 using the latest official iPC dist. It all worked great, and I had a working Leopard install. Yesterday, I decided to install Snow Leopard and followed a guide for my motherboard. I was supposed to use a BootCD, which never worked. Anyways, after that, my Leopard installation wouldn't boot anymore, so I decided to do a fresh install of it again. So I went ahead to reset my BIOS to the exact state that it was when installing Leopard, but this time, the Leopard installation refused to boot (the install went great, and I chose the exact same settings for it). I get kernel panics. I've tried several different setting for installing Leopard again, but nothing works. Since I don't have a camera to take a picture of it, all I can do is tell you what the backtrace points to: com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform(1.0.3)@0x554ac000->0x554e2fff dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily(3.3.0)@0x5544a000 dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOACPIFamily(1.2.0)@0x55465000 Note that I have NOT changed any hardware since the first installation of Leopard. I've read somewhere to enable ACPI 2.0, which I've tried without any luck, AHCI is enabled. When installing using iPC I went with this guide: http://tgrounds.blogspot.com/2009/04/leopa...on-your-pc.html My specs are as following: Asus P5Q SE, C2D E7500, 4GB Ram, 2x1TB + 1x1.5TB (all Sata), GeForce GTX275, Samsung DVD-writer (SATA). nu1mlock Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/187457-installation-of-ipc-leopard-doesnt-work-second-time-around/ Share on other sites

nu1mlock
Yes, I have. Nothing wierd seems to happen during the kext-loading. It looks the same as the first time I installed Leopard. nu1mlock Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/187457-installation-of-ipc-leopard-doesnt-work-second-time-around/#findComment-1273758 Share on other sites
