Hi all, i've tried a search in this forum with no luck as this motherboard is quite uncommon.

first of all i want to say that i already have a working 10.5.7 hackintosh on a p5k mobo using a clean 10.5.6 DVD + usb dvd-drive + cdboot123 method.

I would like to replace my old G5 but i need at least 2 PCI-X slot plus a normal PCI one.

I've found that ASUS P5E3 WS is the only Asus mobo with 2 PCI-X slots.

here are motherboard specification:

So the question are:

-is it possible to install a 10.5.6 (and then update online to 10.5.7) using the same method i've used for the p5k and add required extensions after the update (and before it reboots)?

-is there something that will not work for sure, any issue with X38 chipset and/or ADI audio (internal audio is not fundamental by the way)?

-will i have all pci, pcie and pcix slots fully working?

as i have to buy it i just want to make sure i have a chance to get it working as i will use it only to run an hackintosh...

Hardware pci cards to be added are in my signature inside the G5.

thanks for any info

To Answer your question yes you can do Install 10.5.7 and update it. I have the same board, you need to have a working Leopard install and install it on another drive through your current leopard drive.

Make sure you put all the sata kexts in or else you'll get "Panic"
