iacchi
Hi, I'm triing to install iDeneb 10.5.7 on a HP Pavillion dv5 1140el. This laptop has an Optiarc dvd-rw which I've read causes problem with osx86 installation, in fact if I try to install from the dvd I get a "still waiting for root device" error. To avoid this, I put the installation dvd on a usb hdd using a friend's mac and a guide found on the net (copy the dvd to the hdd with disk utility etc.), then I installed the boot loader on the hdd with osx86 tools. When I boot the hdd to start installation I get a kernel panic and I can't proceed with installation. I've tried to boot with no parameters and with the cpus=1 parameter. This is a screenshot of the kernel panic: http://img2.imageshack.us/i/img9876.jpg/ Any idea on what to do to avoid the kernel panic?
