nu1mlock
Hello! I've searched a whole lot about my problem, but I can't find anyone else with the same issue as me, and therefore I can't find any solution to the issue. I'm trying to install Snow Leopard using a BootCD with Chameleon RC3, but I'm getting EBIOS read errors all the time. After a little while, I get to the Chameleon boot screen, but there's nothing I can do. No boot options are available (no CD/DVD, not my Leopard installation), and the system has frozen. When disabling AHCI in BIOS, I get to the boot screen and can choose for example my SL DVD (when inserted), but when loading it with -v I keep getting the "Waiting for root device" error. This is the thread I read: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=186856 My specs are the following: Asus P5Q SE (flashed with modified BIOS from link above), C2D 7500, 2x1TB HDD + 1x1.5TB HDD, Asus GeForce GTX 275, Samsung DVD-writer (SATA). Thank you in advance! nu1mlock Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/187357-chameleon-rc3-hangs-when-ahci-enabled/ Share on other sites
