alxz310
I've got osx86 up and running on my laptop, and there is just one problem I have at the moment (well two, shutdown/restart doesn't work because of nvidia driver issues i believe?). The main problem is that the CPU overheats. It runs anywhere from 59 - 70c at full load and this is much hotter that with Windows 7, which I dual boot with. I've read a thread on this issue, and deleted my AppleCPUThermo and AppleIntelPowerManagement kexts, but that seemed to even make it worse/did not help at all - it kept my temps at around 65 - 73c. Also, a strange issue is that when I plug in my laptop to charge, the fans go on high right away and stay like that until I unplug it. Is there anything I can do? I'm running iPC 10.5.6 > 10.5.7 on an HP HDX16-1370US if that matters. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/187313-overheating-cpu/ Share on other sites
