felix303 Posted September 16, 2009 Share Posted September 16, 2009 Installed Leopard Retail 10.5 and did the update to 10.5.8. Every works fine(Graphic, Sound etc). Network is recognized (Realtek81168). Internet is working,too. But....if I transfer files from my macbook to any folder of my hackintosh over ethernet, my hackintosh crashes after transfer of 2.7gb. If I connect the hackintosh to my macbook and drag the files with my hackintosh over ethernet from my macbook there is no problem. This seems not to be a network card problem because same happens if I connect network over firewire. Same happend when I installed Kalyway 10.5.2. When I boot retail version in safe mode everything works. Also tried other Macs for transferring to my hackintosh. Always the same problem. So any idea? Am I the only one with this problem? Please try it out with your system. My System. See if there is a difference in memory usage between transferring both ways you described above. felix303 Posted September 18, 2009 Author Share Posted September 18, 2009 compared save mode activities with none save mode. no difference. something is going wrong with the hackintosh's AppleFileServer which is running in the background. i have to find out which minimal kext I need to run the hackintosh, like in save mode. When I then add one kext after one, I should find out the reason for this. Any Ideas how to find out which kext are active?
