tas01 Posted September 15, 2009 Share Posted September 15, 2009 i have succesfully installed ipc ipc 10.5.6 and everything works excep that it doesn't see my ide hard drive or my ide cd drive.anybody have any idea what i can do? asus p5k ws 4 gb ram ati radeon 2600 xt realtek nic i was running 0sx 10.5.8 retail but had problems everytime i tried to install protools 8.0, and i read that people had the same problem installing protools 8 on osx 10.5.8 but there was success w/ 10.5.7 so thats why im downgrading. vilpostus Posted September 15, 2009 Share Posted September 15, 2009 Try a different IOATAFamily.kext The one that is installed, doesn't support the on-board SATA/ATA controller. May try this one http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=88335 Note you may need to add a Vendor/Device ID to IOATAFamily.kext>Plugins>AppleIntelPIIXATA.kext>Info.plist in order use the on-board SATA/ATA.
