I read something to the effect of that it WILL work with 10.4.5 so I retried it without installing 10.4.6 with no luck. Does anyone know what exactly must be done? I'm new to Mac OS.. trying it out for a future Macbook purchase. So I dont know the details on how to patch and go into root and all the guides expect you to know. Also, I think this is entirely untested, but I have a Creative X-Fi Platinum card with the drive bay plug ins. Does anyone else have this card and has gotten it to work? Gonna have to learn if you are working on Hackintoshes. Try the Wireless link in my sig to see if it helps your DWL-G250. I just want to search Posted May 30, 2006 Author Share Posted May 30, 2006 I tried changing the wireless strings in the Appleairport2.kext and it saves fine, and then I do the wheel thing and it doesn't giveany confirmation is this normal? Anyway, i've tried the G250 (Vendor ID and Device id are correct) to no avail and i've also tried my Microsoft MN-510 old adapter, also no luck. My main priority is the internet... if anyone could help me with this please. I feel so close yet so far. The MN-510 is 802.11b and is USB. It's recognised in system profiler too (Speed and all) but I can't figure out howt o use a usb adapter on it... the G250 doesn't seem to be recognised. Is that it? I would prefer it to be compeltely compatible on insertion and not have to get a specific revision or some garbage :> Thanks again for everyones help here.
