Petruza Posted September 13, 2009 Share Posted September 13, 2009 Hi, I installed iAtkos 10.5.7, I had it running perfectly with a resolution of 1366x768. I changed the monitor, now I use 1280x1024, and most of the time it'll boot to a light blue screen. I can hear exposé if I move the mouse to a screen corner, so I know the system is running, but the screen shows nothing but a plain light blue. If I boot in safe mode, and then boot again normally, it works. But the next boot it'll fail again. Do you know why is this? how can I fix it? I installed iAtkos selecting customize and checking "EFI strings for nVidia: DVI -DVI" which is the outputs my card has, and "Drivers - Nvidia - GTS 200" which is the closest to my card there was. Do I have to install anything else? Thanks! kgc2k3 Posted September 15, 2009 Share Posted September 15, 2009 i would recommend to try reinstalling EFI strings using EFI studio fom safe boot mode. Make sure you pick the string that goes with your card. Mismatched strings can be the cause of your problem. That would make sense seeing how it still works with generic drivers but does not work with the drivers implemented through the EFI string you had chosen.
