Adobe Bootlegger
Alright, I a noob when it comes to this stuff so please bare with me. I have tried using IPC, Kalyway, and Ideneb versions of OSx86. Ideneb is the online one that really ad temped to try to load Mac after install. What I have is two 250GB hard drives. Right now I have Vista on one and Windows 7 (cause I got frustrated with OSx86 not working) on the other for now. I wanna have a dual boot with Vista and Leopard (maybe Snow Leopard down the road). I'll post my computer's info and pics of drivers it has. Maybe someone knows more about Alienware stuff then I do and you can suggest what version is better for me to install? I don't really know what kind of motherboard I have (its a laptop), Also I think the Bios is a Phonix securecore? (Don't quote me on that) Please ask any other questions. Thanks! vilpostus
Need a distro with JMicron disc controller driver. Select it in customize section during installation. And always boot with -v flag then installing. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/186232-alienware-m17-dual-boot/#findComment-1284895 Share on other sites

Adobe Bootlegger
My problem is i Have tried 3 different versions, not half my drivers are on the CDs. and the farthest I have even gotten to was a loading issue with the keyboard, which I cant do anything about since it is a laptop lol. So I kind of need to know what version is the best for my computer. vilpostus
...and the farthest I have even gotten to was a loading issue with the keyboard,...Stick to this disk/settings! Use an USB mouse and keyboard to install and get the system up and running. Then you'll have a booted system install VoodooPS2Controller or ApplePS/2 kexts to solve the problem with touchpad/keyboard. vilpostus
Keep trying! Use a different disk. I have 10 different disks. Only 2-3 of them do work. e.g Kalyway 10.5.1/2, 10.4.8, retail DVD (munky's method; see my signature).
