10.5.6 iPC on MD-8818 install issues

I have a Aldi-PC Medion MD-8818

 

Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 (2x1,83 MHz)

Mainboard / Chipsatz MSI MS-7318, VIA P4M890

2x 1.024 MByte DDR2-533

Nvidia GeForce 7650 GS, 256 MByte RAM

Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320820 S-ATA 320 GByte, 7.200 rpm

W-LAN RT73 USB on Board

Audio onboard

 

Installing the iPC 10.5.6 image worked after switching SATA Mode from [iDE] to [AHCI] in BIOS.

Unfortunately Win7 crashes with this setting so I have to switch that in BIOS when booting Win7.

 

My Probelm however, is that I cant get WLAN to work and sound also doesnt work. I tried

the ALC888 Audio driver but it doesnt work.

 

In the meantime I have upgraded to 10.5.8 and I am having trouble with restart and shutdown.

The Screen goes black and the disks stop but the PC is still on. Also AHCI is still bothering me.

Any ideas how to fix that so I can boot in IDE mode?

 

I am totally new to the issue so any help will bevery much appreciated
