Speedy2k42
Hi everyone, I'm using iATKOS v7 to install OS X on my new Asus U81A-RX05. This is fairly new on the market I think and I've barely seen any information pertaining to this model and anyone trying to turn it into a hackintosh. Anyway, every time I run the installation disc and boot with "-v", it will start going through the process and then suddenly the computer will restart. This keeps happening over and over and I'm not quite sure what the issue is because I was able to use this same disc to install OS X on my Dell Inspiron E1405 not too long ago. I've read things about needing to update kexts but I'm not sure what the real problem is. Please see my specs below. Thanks! Speedy2k42
I was able to install OS X by booting with cpus=1 My new problem was worse though. The Asus recovery CD for Vista didn't give me the option to "Repair" my Windows boot record, so I had to reinstall Vista from scratch which really sucked. The other thing of course is the fact that I have an Intel 5100 AGN WiFi card so I can't access the internet but I knew that already.
