CptSolo
Hi there, I installed iAtkos v7 (10.5.7) on my Core i7 using the following steps. It worked out well, but I still have two little problems. More on that later. Installation ------------- 1. Make sure AHCI is enabled for all your HDs in BIOS 2. Plug your Sata-Drive on one of the onboard controller plugs (not Jmicron) 2. Boot iAtkos v7 3. Use cpus=1 busratio=20 for booting the disk (When you also have a i7 920. Otherwise use a different busratio) 4. Start Diskutility and partition your disk using guid scheme 5. Choose the following drivers for install: iAtkos v7 main Chameleon v2 Extra Directory DSDT dsmos apic Driver Disabler OHR Remove TyMCE AHCI Intel Sata/Ide JMicron NVinject (I have a gf9800gtx) Post Install 6. Install Leopard 7. The system reboots after installation 8. Unfortunately after reboot, the internal SATA drives are not recognized anymore, so you have to plug your HD on the JMicron Controller (after switching off the computer of course... ;-)) Enable all Cores ------------------ 9. The machine boots now but it is running on only one core. You have to run the DSDT Patcher to make a dsdt.dsl 10. Open the dsdt.dsl file with any editor (It's in the Debug Folder of the Patcher). 11. Delete all Alias entries in that file 12. Run the DSDT Patcher again with the dsdt.dsl file as an argument (./DSDT\ Patcher Debug/dsdt.dsl 13. Rename and copy this file to the rootdir (cp dsdt.dsl /DSDT.aml) 14. Change the apple.plist file and put busratio=20 in it so you don't need it next time on the commandline of the bootloader. Enable Sound ---------------- 15. I found a Kernel extension for the ALC1200 in this forum under Drivers wich worked like a charm. Install instructions are provided there. Problems ----------- The machine ist fast as hell and everything works fine EXCEPT two little things. Maybe someone can help me on this: 1. The machine boots up until a message occurss "ioKitWaitQuiet". Then the Display is becoming black and the machine waits for about 5 min. Then the graphical desktop appears. Maybe something with the NvInject or so? 2. The HDs that are on the onboard controller are not recognized. The onboard SATA Ports are being recognized by iAtkos but not by the AppleKernel. The JMicron Controller is recognized by the Apple Kernel but not the internal SATA Ports. Can someone help me on this? Thank you, Solo Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/185786-success-iatkos-7-on-asus-p6t-not-deluxe-guide/ Share on other sites
