raoul
I have upgrated from 10.5.8 server to 10.6.0 server retail. Everything is working: GMA 950 QE/CI, sound, WG311T (AIrPort) The steps are: For server installation: be sure that IP Ethernet is set in your working Leo (AppleDiscussion forums). GPT partition on new disk from your working LeoNow you are working on that new disk OSIntall.pkg of retail 10.6 DVD on the new disk Chameleon 2.0+EFI10(download) Install kext from /Extra (download) Install snow_gma for SL within S/L/E (download) Install kext from /Extra (download) Install voodooHDA.kext dans /S/L/E (download) Change UUID into PlatformUUID.kext and smbios.plist from /ExtraNotes: boot.plist from /Extra is not parsed at startup: remove it and set yours flags directly into /Libray/Preferences/SystemConfiguration Use "Kext Utility" to build extensions.mkext in /Extra and also into S/L.Notes: Snow doesn't seems to rebuild mkext at startup, even with -f flag. The next reboot yields KP if it is launched without -f You can now restart with -f -v flags on the new disk. Use the server import program at first start and get your setup from leo disk (see point o). Most of downloads come from here: "http://www.insanelymac.com/2009/08/how-to-install-snow-leopard-10a432-on-pc-hackintosh" So I gave this a try, I'm a noob at this. I done other straight forward hacks, but this is my first roll up the sleeves attempt and I have a few questions. On #3 shouldn't the "OSIntall.pkg" be "OSIntall.mpkg"? #4 the second SL Support installer will not install, claims the initial RC1 package wasn't install. #5 & #7 why are they there twice. I don't understand how to do #9, there wasn't a smbios.plist in /E, I don't normally set any flags except the GFX card string and native resolution. Thanks in advance for any help Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/185593-upgrade-to-1060-server-for-p5ld2-vm-se/#findComment-1323201 Share on other sites
