Hi all,

First post,

been surfing for a while now, have downloaded two disk images, iPC and ideneb v1.3. The second boots good :)

However, there is an error at boot that stops me from mounting my inbuilt SATA drive which i want to install onto:

ATA disk checksum cookie invalid

Please help me fix this error,

I have searched the forums, google, everywhere but no solutions :)

Thanks,

Josh.

I've been (slowly) installing OSx86 in a QEMU emulator, and I see this same error message, but it doesn't seem to prevent the installer from writing to the emulated hard disk. Are you sure this is really the source of the problem? Try reading a few lines up in the error list. Perhaps there's another error that's really the culprit, and you just spotted something that sounds bad but isn't. OTOH, maybe this error sometimes prevents installation, but sometimes doesn't.

in this instance, it did stop the installation, because all i had was SATA disks,

However, i installed onto a 8GB SD card, using another computer then cloned it using Super Duper! to my SATA SSD then i install chameleon onto it, and voila! working :gun:

Great Success!

p.s. i used"iPC universal osx 10.5.6"
