free30
I posted a torrent on oink with links to this forum, theres at least 50 downloading so hopefully there be a few more invite floating around, http://forum.pleasuredome.org.uk/ could do with a few as well and thats a good ratio site with good members. Anyway heres the guide I posted with the torrent. free30. Simple install Guide. Dual Boot, Windows. AND refer to links as this is short and OSx86 IS NOT A GENERIC OS FOR EVERY SYsTeM. You'll need a bootable program to change which partition is active ie Knoppix and Qpart or miniPE CD or other. Or use bois and have two drives. 1. Burn DVD. 1a. Download and Install MacDrive. 2. Make space and Create a primary parition id af. Run, Diskpart, select disk 0, create primary partition size=32000 id=af. Or what ever size you what, at least 7gb. 3. Set new partition active. Run, Diskpart, select disk 0, list partiton, select partition ?, active. 4. Boot from DVD, select language, go to top with mouse, use disk utillity to delect the new partiton and such format to HFS+ and lable. (can't find drive? OS likes smaller partitons say 80gb, try formating with MS disk manager to fat32, some drives don't work! try using VMware to install and dd the image across) 5. Chose install drive and chose custom install, on the left. Chose componants, expand patchs by clicking on triangle, chose patchs as per Jas guide above, you must install at least two. 6. Install. Skip check disk if you want. 7. On first reboot, boot to your CD program that let you change which partiton is active and select windows, boot into windows. Or with OSx86 on a second drive and using bois. Boot windows but don't add the first two keys in step8. 8. edit 'com.apple.Boot.plist' on the new Mac partiton (seen with Macdrive)(libary/Preferences/systemconfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist) with notepad and add <key>Quiet Boot</key> <string>No</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string></string> and <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1280x1024x32@70</string> to set your display options; between<dict>and</dict> like the other keys. [9. (Optional) You can replace match_kernal with this patched one if you need to fix the reset and set to platform=acpi] [10. (optional) You can put the UK fixed keyboard into Libary/Keybroad layouts/ and select it on the next boot. Make other Changes you think you need to make, like drive id's.] 11. Copy chain0 to the root of your windows drive (C:/), edit your boot.ini to be like the .bak one incluided by adding the line C:\Chain0="Mac OS X86", to the end. 12. Reboot select the OS partition from the new menu and again from darwin select the mac partiton. Or boot straght in after first menu with two drives. 13. Setup as directed on screen. 14. Install Pasifist. 15. (Intel only) Install Update SecUpd2006-003Intel(non patched) with Pasifist, by mounting image and using right mouse button and select pasifist. . Then install SemjaZaSecUpd003(intel, finder) with pasifist. 15. (AMD) Not tested. Install SecUpd2006-003Intel(amd) with Pasifist, by unzipping and using right mouse button and select pasifist. 16. Download updates off net and freely install, as of todate. But remember the slower you go and the more you check elsewhere the quicker you will get where your going. Best of luck and just don't ask why at the end of it all, it's cool. free30 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/18530-a-simlpish-guide-install-1046-and-update/ Share on other sites
