Hi guys, I'm new here

I was trying to install mac os x on my vmware server for a long time but with no luck.. the best thing that half-worked was JaS which installed!! but wasn't able to run OS(stuck at gray apple screen)

now I would like to install it directly on a real HDD..

My specs:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+

Current OS: win 7 64bit

RAM: 4gb Mhz?? don't think this is necessary )

HDD: SAMSUNG HD502J ATA (500gb) - at least device manager said so

VGA: Nvidia GF 9600 GT

MB: asus m2n-cm dvi

So far I have(because of the hours spent on installing mac os on vmware server):

iDeneb_v1.6_1058_Lite_Edition

iDeneb_v1.5.1_OSX86_v10.5.7

Mac OS X 10.4.8 [JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3 with PPF1 & PPF2]

Kalyway_10.5.2_DVD_Intel_Amd

iATKOS_v7

oh wait..when I wrote this article - Mac successfully installed! I used Mac OS X 10.4.8 [JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3 with PPF1 & PPF2]. so ok, mac works, crappy - but works.

few questions so far:

1. APPLE UPDATES: will I be able to install apple updates on pc-mac? Right now I am installing them on a virtual machine but it will take half an hour so I don't khow what will happen in the end. will it work?

2. HARDWARE: What about my specs. Is it ok? Should I change BIOS parameters? If so, then If I boot in win7 again - will it still be working?

2. 1. Will it(OS) use all of my ram and my cpu's ? Since vmware is using only one cpu.. and about 4 gigs. If simple leopard is 32 bit, then from all of my ram possible it'll use only 2-3 gigs? Then, Is it easy to upgrade to Snow leopard(isn't it 64 bit?) later? What's your opinion about this?

3. HDD: I have a partition magic. Free space is not a problem. what about filesystem? ntfs like win or fat32 or sth. else?

4. BOOTING: It seems like latest ideneb has some bootloader in it. What bootloader should I use and how to configure it. Yeah, I can google it, but some links are old so I'm asking you here because you can provide new info.

5. DISTRIBUTIVE: I know, that's not a linux but there are lots of distributives like: iDeneb, JaS, Kalyway, iATKOS_v7, ... Which one Is the best for me? Jas is not an option since it's an old version mac(Tiger). What about others?

6. Is an installation on a real HDD as easy as on a virtual hdd? You know, I googled this question and there were some kind of commands, additional flash disks. tools and hell knows what else. I'm hoping that latest releases makes it simpler.

7. Are there any features on the mac that requires real-mac from the Apple? I mean, for example an account at sth@mac.com. Is it possible to register it? Will I be able to use all the features of this OS?(the most of them)

Thanks in advance

P.S. sorry for mistakes

EDIT:

I've burned iDened 1.6 lite. Wanted to try and install it but found on the website these packages:

http://insanelymac.org/attachments/040_iDe...e_Edition_1.jpg

http://insanelymac.org/attachments/040_iDe...e_Edition_2.jpg

how could I know what is necessary for me? there are too many options.. should I post full spec info? even the smallest details? If possible - could someone suggest necessary packages and/or tick them in paint or write here? I'm confused.. )

I managed to successfully!! install mac but I've got boot0: error after restart..

look at the screen

used iAtkos v7

in case if I put cd into the cdrom at startup and don't click any key - then there is a gray windows with apple and rotating circle...nothing happens.

what have I done wrong?

I have just one question - is it possible to install mac os on the same hdd where windows is?

I mean:

1 Hdd:

1.1. partition 1(primary) - windows. OS

1.1.2 partition 2(logical). DATA

1.2. partition 3(primary) - mac os

I've just found info that mac COULDN"T be installed on the same hdd with windows

I tried to make partition 1.2 - PRIMARY, but I couldn't even format it in Disk Utility! It gave me an error: "Disk utility internal error". Then, partition I tried to format(1.2) - disappeared and I had to repair startup in order to launch windows

P.S. First time I installed mac on 1.2. (Logical) partition. it was a fail. look above
