deejayy Posted September 9, 2009 Share Posted September 9, 2009 I am running OSX fine, but my 3450 graphics card does not support QE, so i can't load certain programs or play games and screensaver is even laggy. I'm not a massive gamer or anything so i don't want to spend much. I have found the next upgrade which is the 3650... i have a few questions I am looking at the ATI Radeon HD 3650 .. 1. can someone confirm that this will work with Quartz Extreme? 2. is it safe for me to just swap them over and install the new kexts? or does this cause conflicts resulting in a kernel panic, do u need to take certain steps when changing hardware? 3. i heard a rumour that the drivers are not good, causing the fan and card to constantly work at full speed... resulting in over heating issues, loudness and shortening the life span of the card to about a month... is this the case for the 3650 ??
