starobrno1
Is there a way to boot SL without this dst thing. I have´nt got the time nor do I want to read up on it. I wanna go the "old fashion way" replacing kexts. I can run SL using one of these 132 discs around here. I even can get it to run without having to boot from the dvd but I get very poor resolution and only one of my videocards are working. This doesn´t happend when I boot up SL with the boot 132 disc so that alone is really strange. This dst thing does´nt give any better performance I sure can tell you. I´m typing this from an SL install using one of these 132 boot discs "with built" in dst.aml. On this same hardrive I have Logic installed, when I run a benchmarktest for Logic I score the same track count in 10.5.6 as in this dst "boosted" SL install. In short words where the hell are all the good old guides/methods to get osx running the old way, are we stuck with this dst.aml {censored} now? Hell even good old NVinject.kext works good in SL to so there´s really no need for no fancy........ And for gigabyte boards it is a must... or you will need to redo all your bios setting every reboot because of cmos resetting. mattrb4
this dst.aml {censored} Dude, all computers are different. DSDT allow you to work around those differences. Your anger is misdirected. Now here is the NEW most easy solution for you and everyone. Use this script from DD, link more info on that script here, link This script is for ddr3 platforms, but will work on any computer, so Change the smbios in the plist to memtype=19 for your ddr2 platform. Read up on this easy smbios guide from BlackOSX's pdf at this link In relation to the kexts, sound will need voodoohda for most systems and you put that in the correct place in the script folders (out of repository and into main sound folder) to make the script insert the correct kext into your extra folder. Other then that, the script creates the dsdt for you automatically, as well as entering the kexts (Which you need to carefully choose into your extra folder, chameleon and the plists. Basically, use this path for now on. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/185178-no-dstaml/#findComment-1259291 Share on other sites
