maciekish
Hi guys! I installed Snow Leopard using the OSInstall.mpkg from a retail disc running inside 10.5.6 which was installed a moment ago on a slack partition only for installing SL. Installation went fine, i installed the latest Chameleon and PC_EFI 10.2. Then i added the four kexts mentioned here http://www.infinitemac.com/f57/how-to-inst...-on-a-pc-t3137/ and fixed perms etc. The files are FakeSMC, OpenHaltRestart, PlatformUUID and NullCPUPM. I deleted the JMicron kext as i know it caused problems back in Leopard and i dont use any IDE drives. 1st reboot) Kernel panic without reference to any file or process etc. 2nd) Disabled my overclock and booted with -x32. Got to the new user guide and finished it no problem. When desktop showed i got a panic. See the attached picutres. 3rd) Boot with -x32 again, this time i got to click a button in some window that popped up before the panic, but it was almost instant anyway. Any reboot after that i get a panic almost as soon as the icons and menu bar load up. What could i have done wrong? My specs are as follows: Intel QX9650, 4x 3Ghz. 8GB RAM ASUS P5E mainboard Nvidia 8800GTS 512MB (G92). Added using efistudio. I have run 10.5.8 before, flawlessly without any panics, and all possible flavors of windows so im sure that my hardware is fine. EDIT: Solved myself by using Chameleon /boot instead of PC_EFI 10.2 boot-file. tacoofabudda
I installed using OSInstall like you but then booted with Empire EFI and used the included myHack installer... I've been with the project since Tiger and I have to say it was the easiest install I've ever done!
