Consti
Hi there I am new to the whole hackintosh-thing. A friend of mine has told me that I can install OS X on my old PC CPU: Intel Pentium 4 3,06 GHz Single Core GPU: ATI Radeon X1300 MB: Sunshine DDR2 (GA-8I915PMD) Chipset: Intel 915P HDD: 250 GB - IDE RAM: 1024 MB I have burned the iDeneb 1.4 (OS X 10.5.6) Iso to a DVD and booted from it. The Installer started and I got to the point, where I have to select the right drivers and patches. I have absolutely no doubt which ones I shall select. Theres no driver for my video card integrated but I have read that I can install it later. Which chipset shall I select, which Kernel, etc. Please can me someone tell ? vilpostus
You will definitely need non vanilla kernels e.g. voodoo (install them all just in case). A SATA driver e.g. Intel ICH and PIIX controller. A SMBIOS driver AppleSMBIOS677 or other corresponding to your memory speed. The rest is up to you and can be installed later. It's better to install less than more For VGA try installing aty_init http://netkas.org/?p=107 CoreVidia http://mac-inul.com/viewtopic.php?t=732 after you have a working system. P.S. You friend could help you too. If he told you, you could, maybe he knows something Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/185067-problem-with-installing-leopard-using-ideneb-114/#findComment-1257746 Share on other sites

I have selected Vodoo, ICHfix, cpus=1Fix and nothing else and it works. I need to boot with -x in safemode. But I have a ATI card as you can see in my first post. Why shall I install a nVidia driver ? vilpostus
Sorry, didn't noticed the VGA details. The CoreVidia is not an option then. ATI_init is for ATI cards too. vilpostus
Try an EFI string. Use OSx86Tools to insert it to com.apple.Boot.plist Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/185067-problem-with-installing-leopard-using-ideneb-114/#findComment-1258824 Share on other sites
