Sanket_Srimany Posted September 7, 2009 Share Posted September 7, 2009 HI guys I've installed win7 in one partition and i've installed Mac OS X 10.5.7(iATkos) on another partition on my Dell INSPIRON 1520 notebook....i've managed to fix the bootloader problems using EasyBCD from windows but the problem is after I boot into Mac.Note:This problem started right from the beginning whn I installed mac and booted it for the first time.The grey booting screen comes up but after a while i get an error message saying "Press and hold Shutdown button to restart ur Computer or press reset button". I booted with the -v -f option and i found the last few lines to be like this: "ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::registerLPCDriver-WARNING-LPC device initialization failed:C-State power management not initialized" Guys please help me to boot into Mac........ur help would be highly appreciated....Thank you Plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz HELP ME guys....................... Sanket_Srimany Posted September 8, 2009 Author Share Posted September 8, 2009 Finally installed Mac OSX 10.5.7(iAtkos)......... but there seem to be some issues: i get a black screen while trying to shutdown or restart...and i have to turn it off manually by pressing the power button for a few seconds. no drivers for intel wireless 3945a/b/g..... sluggish graphics...i need the latest nvidia 8600M GT drivers for this.... I reinstalled it and while installing customized the options .....(ensure sata mode in bios is set to AHCI...disabe flash cache module)....now while customizing the installation be sure to check.. AHCI Intel ICH8/7 Sata controller no need to select speed step.....and select the required drivers..... I used the iATkos i7 10.5.7 DVD for installation............ But as wifi not working and gpu not working as expected i'll soon trash..OSX I'll get back to installing ubuntu soon..... Best of luck mate...hope ur installation is successful...Let me know.. Some people reported that after installing the patch, their computer cannot restart and shut down properly. If anyone found the solution, please let me know. 1) Get all the required files first. Download here. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=Q644YOYA All file must be unzipped in a HFS+ (Mac) partition and not in FAT32 or NTFS partition. 2) Delete the OpenGL.framework folder in /System/Library/Frameworks. 3) In the Video_8600M_GT_Files.rar, there are folder OpenGL.framework 4) Copy that folder and paste into /System/Library/Frameworks. 5) Copy all the kexts in the geforce_1052_kext folder ( GeForce.kext , GeForce2MXGLDriver.bundle , GeForce3GLDriver.bundle , GeForce7xxxGLDriver.bundle , GeForce8xxxGLDriver.bundle , GeForceFXGLDriver.bundle , GeForceGA.plugin , GeForceVADriver.bundle , NVDANV10Hal.kext , NVDANV20Hal.kext , NVDANV30Hal.kext , NVDANV40Hal.kext , NVDANV50Hal.kext , NVDAResman.kext , NVinject.kext ) to /System/Library/Extensions. 6) Go to Disk Utilites. And repair permission. 7) Reboot. It should work now. some sluggishness went away but still not upto the mark.... might help ........................
