Ok, so I'm trying to get iPC osx86 10.7 set up. I started with 10.6 and updated. I'm on a Dell XPS m1530. So far I have ethernet, but I can't get the sound, wifi or usb to work. Since this is the sound section, I'll talk about that. I've tried the patcher with just about every Sigmatel 92XX codec I can find. I don't have AppleAzalia.kext installed. Nothing seems to work. Am I suppose to change anything in the codec when I run it through the patcher? Here's the information I got fro OSX86Tools

00:1b.0 Audio device [0403]: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller [8086:284b] (rev 02)

Will this information help me get anywhere? I'm pretty new at this and the codecs I used were from this forum. Thanks for the help

Update:

I installed the usb driver and then when I plugged in my usb speakers, the volume panel appeared. After I unplugged the speakers, the volume panel was still there, so I went into System Properties and clicked on sound. The system recognized an input/output device. So, I launched GarageBand and played a track, but there was no sound. I plugged the usb speakers back in and everything worked fine. So, it's awesome that I can have sound now (I only did all this because I like Apple's multimedia software like GarageBand), but does anyone have any ideas on how I can get the sound to come out of my laptop speakers (I don't carry the usb speakers around). Thanks.

ok, found a semi-solution. I used AppleHDA patcher 1.16 instead of 1.2 and it worked. I tried it in conjunction with the codec found here

External mic still doesn't work, but I haven't tested the mic input yet. So, almost there.
