Hi Guys

I've been attempting to install IPC OSx86 10.5.6 on my Hp Pavilion DV2000 laptop. Everything seemed to be going perfectly and I chose the components that closely matched my system from the customise options. I got as far as saying that the installation succeeded. When I went to reboot I got the darwin loader screen where on initial boot up I used the -v -f keys. A lot of text flew past on the screen and I eventually booted into a plain light blue screen where nothing happens.

I have listed the spec of my laptop below :-

Hp Pavilion DV2000

2GB RAM

120GB HDD (ST9120822AS ATA Device)

ACPI x86 based PC

Display : Mobile Intel 945 Express chipset family

DVD : HL DT ST DVDRAM GSA 408N ATA

IDE : Intel 82801G (ICH7 Family) Ultra ATA Storage controllers 27DF

IEEE 1394 RIOCH OHCI compliant host controller

Touch pad : synaptics ps/2 port

Modem : HDA AUDIO Soft dataflex modem with smart CP

Network Adapter : Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN

Intel PRO/100 VE Network Connection

Processor : Genuine Intel CPU T2060 @ 1.60GHZ (Dual core processor)

Sound : Conexant high definition smart audio HD2

System Devices : Intel 82801 PCI bridge 2448

Intel 82802 Firmware hub device

Mobile Intel 945GM/PM/GMS/940GML and intel 945GT Express processor to DRAM Controller 27A0

As I say, I am totally new to all of this, but I do have an iMac, so familiar with the mac OS.

Many thanks

Sam.

Eventually managed to get it working! It was just a bit of trial and error and testing different options on the customise screen. I did manage to get the Leopard install music playing, but I didn't have any keyboard or mouse despite this being a laptop :P But another custom install retry resolved this and I had both keyboard and mouse working.

Booted into leopard, everything working well. Even have my new hp Hacktop networked with my iMac :P

I've done some software updates and it's gone well, however I'm frightened to updated to 10.5.8 or it might break everything :D

Well, hope this helps anyone in the same situation!

Sam.
