Hi,

I currently have a nice working 10.5.8/vista dual boot system using Chameleon 2 bootloader, everything

works flawlessly so far (1 SATA HDD, 2 partitions).

Now, I would like to update my vista system to windows 7, and by doing this, I assume I will overwrite

the bootloader with the windows bootloader.

Since then I won´t be able to boot into osx anymore , I don´t see a possibility to restore chameleon....

is that right?

So, what would you guys say how to get hands on this?

Not only before you "upgrade" to 7, but as a general precaution, you should always keep a USB stick with a working and up-to-date hackintosh boot loader handy.

As to how to install Chameleon to a USB stick, I'd suggestm trying the GUI installer or if that fails try a search.

Hi zhell, hopefully no need for the quotation marks ... anything differnt from vista can be considered as an upgrade.. it can´t get worse!

So, if I have a working chameleon stick, will it autodect all bootable OSes and give me the option to boot into OSX again even when 7

messed up my MBR during install?

Thanks!
