Ok so I don't have a DL burner, I don't have a usb stick over 512mb. I have a macbook(which I am trying to install leopard on)

Then I have a hackintosh, soo would any of these work

Deleting Files off the Snow Dvd, until it fits on a SL-DVD, if so could you help me with a guide, only guides I have found are for leopard, or the Snow beta, I tried just deleting the printer and languag files, and a few others, but the dvd wouldnt show up when i pressed and held option key.

so what can I do? make a partition on my interneral macbook HD, to fit the snow leopard image, and boot it off that? Shrinking the Dvd? There has to be something I can do, Im just frusterated, thanks guyz

!! anyother Instructions External HDD Method !!

Tested and Works

* On your external USB or Firewire HDD, create a 10GB Mac OS X Extended partition, format this partition and leave it blank. You will need this later on.

* Mount the .DMG file

* Using Disk Utility, Select the RESTORE Tab

* Right Click on the "Mac OS X Install DVD" and select it as the SOURCE

* Right Click on your USB/Firewire 10GB Partition and select it as DESTINAION

* Check off "Erase Destination"

* Click Restore

* Wait for Restore to complete

* Once restore is complete, you will notice that your 10GB Partition name is called "Mac OS X Install DVD"

* Unmount the Disk Image

* LEAVE THE USB/FIREWIRE DRIVE CONNECTED

* Restart your Mac and hold the Option Key to get the startup disk menu

* Select the External HDD, Labelled "Mac OS X Install DVD"

* Booting from the External HDD works and it's fast!! Anytime you want to install Snow Leopard on any Intel Mac Computer, all you need to do is bring your External Drive, connect it, reboot and install.

could i try making a partition on my internal drive(macbook) and install it from there

Since you already have Leopard running. Just mount the disc image and open this file (you can access /System via terminal):

/Volumes/Mac OS X Install DVD/System/Installation/Packages/OSInstall.mpkg

And install it to an another partition. You'll have to deselect the printer drivers on the customize screen, or the installation will fail.
