Lt. Xenodite Posted September 4, 2009 Share Posted September 4, 2009 Has anyone had success getting the 7th and 8th SATA ports on the ASUS P5Q Pro (maybe also similar P5x boards) working in Leopard? These 2 ports run off a SiliconImage Sil5723 onboard controller and required no driver install in Windows. Seeing as how I failed to get RAID on these ports recognized in Leopard, I thought I'd try using them as normal ports (since I have so many drives). It may also help to know that these 2 ports are not detected in the BIOS or the boot menu (the only thing that references them is the Drive Xpert configuration that changes the ports between normal/RAID0/RAID1 modes). Is there a kext I could put in to support the Sil5723? Thanks.
