I can't seem to get leopard osx to install on my system. the mobo uses the nforce 590 SLI chipset.

so i've tried several copies of iatkos 7 and kalyway to no avail.

iatkos 7 also panics and crashes after it's 1/4 of the way through the installation process (i can get into the install/customization menu). i've tried playing around with the settings/kernels etc and haven't had any luck.

kalyway ALMOST worked the first time (it got 99% done and then gave me a 'could not validate oxford dictionaries' messages). i didn't select any customization option...i just clicked next... but when i tried the exact some thing, it got to installing it and gave me the message "could not validate base system".

then i tried it again: this time it said my disk was dirty. so i cleaned it...same message "could not validate base system".

a third time: now it wont even boot into the installer screen. keeps giving me a read/write error.

NOTE: i'm trying to install this on a brand new hard drive i bought specifically for this operating system.

i have 2 other hard drives. a 1TB that's blank, and a 150 WD raptor that has vista 64 on it.

i've followed every guide i could get my hands on, booted with the "-v" and "cpu=1" "cpu=2" "-x" commands etc.

i dont get it. it seems like i keep trying to repeat my steps exactly every time, and i keep getting different error messages.

can someone please suggest what settings to use?

my pc:

amd 64 xp 4200

WD 150 raptor

wd 1TB

seagate barracuda 500GB (i formatted it journal extended using both iatkos and kalyway)

6 GB of ram

nvidia 8800gts

soundblaster x-fi titanium gamer

plextor px-504a DVD drive

im attaching screenshots of my device manager so you can see EVERYTHING that you would need to know about my pc.

i've spent the past...damn...i dont even know what day it is....i've been spending sunrise to the following morning trying to install OSX on my system. i feel like im just tossing the dice every time.

i thought computers were supposed to be predictable and consistent.....

any help would be appreciated, especially from anyone with the same motherboard.
