bo1206 Posted March 3, 2010 Share Posted March 3, 2010 I had success with Empire EFI and Retail DVD... however the problem I now have is that the system hangs with heavy read/write of the HD. I can still move the mouse but the "beach ball of death" is on the screen just spinning away.... Have you encountered this at all? BJenks22446 Posted March 3, 2010 Share Posted March 3, 2010 yes, i had the same problem, i'm not entirely sure if i fixed it but it hasn't happened since. on this thread: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=77071 grab the TEST version and it should fix. if not you might want to clean up your kexts some other sata-related kexts tend to create complications.
