Skywise_ca
I've managed to install 10.4.6 (from goatsecx's DVD) onto a compaq x1000 laptop. Most everything works except the wireless card. (and video res changing, but that's another post) I've got a lucent technologies waveLAN/Ieee card which has a Agere chipset. The vendor ID is 342 and the dev ID is 002 The strange thing is that the card shows up at the top of the desktop with an option to turn it off, but none of the rest of the OS seems to know about it. During boot the OS was comparing "lucent technologies" to various things with no luck. Can this card be made to work with 10.4.6 or do I need to find another wifi card?
