Hi.

I have Installed OSX successfully on my HP TC1100 TabletPC and an exterenal USB HDD. Everything works fine (except of course WLAN, sleep mode and power/fan control). :D

But I have a weird problem. The machine, like most laptops has dualdisplay capability (one for the built in LCD, the other is an externally attachable display). OSX detects the two displays, but both renders the content of the secondary and the primary display to the primary display, mixing their contents. So if I move the mouse or any window beyond the right side of the screen, the window reappears on the left (obviously it should be on the left of the secondary display, but it is drawed on the top of the primary display), deleting everything in its way, leaving major display artifacts behind. This obviously makes the whole system unusable. :)

THe major problem is: I don't know how to disable this secondary display stuff. Simply there is no option for it in OSX. I can only rearrange the displays (the desired location of the secondary display) or turn the mirroring feature on, but then the contents of the secondary display is simply just redrawn to the primary display constantly, which is very slow (and also leaves behind display artifacts and bad looking mouse trails). I tried to find an option to disable external display in BIOS (maybe OSX would not detect it then), but it is not possible. :D

UPDATE: There appears to be two Displays listed in the System profiler, both has "VGA-Compatible adatper" listed as type, and the second one is indicated to be the "Main display". How can I get rid of one of the two displays?

Any idea? :D

Is there no one, who can help me?

I found out that there is a com.apple.windowserver.plist file in the Prefernces directory, but I was unable to modify it because it is not the standard xml file it should be, but some kind of binary file. However, according to Apple forums this should be an easily editable xml file, where display settings could be tweaked.
