Vasyaaa Posted September 2, 2009 Share Posted September 2, 2009 Hey guys, im new to the forum, was reading it for a while though. Im trying to install OSx86 on my pc. CPU core2duo e8400 Motherboard Asus P5Q Pro with modded BIOS. IDE HDD and CD-rom. (can switch to external CDrom and sata HDD, but really would like to install on IDE HDD) I adjusted BIOS setting to the recommended in some of the manuals I found here. (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=152122&mode=threaded&pid=1074532) I'm using iPC OSx86. with the following customization: - Chipset Drivers>Intel ICH10 Sata Support - Fixes and Patches>Shutdown/Restart Fix - DSDT Patches>Patch DSDT - Apple SMBIOS Patch>SMBIOS Resolver - Applications> Efi Studio, OSX86 Tools, KextHelper, CPU-X After the installation Im tryin to run it with -v -x -f keys and Im getting the following Error: USBF: 0.386 AppleUSBUHCI: unable to initialize UIM. Vasyaaa Posted September 3, 2009 Author Share Posted September 3, 2009 Ok i did manage to install it. But to do so I had to switch to SATA HDD. In some manuals ppl were saying that using IPC u can install it on IDE. I did manage to install it on IDE, but it wont boot from it- still waiting for root device. Sata works like a charm.
