HD!
In all WIndows OSs my graphics card, Intel GMA 950, went up to a resolution of 1280x800 but in Mac I can only go up to 1024x768. Why is this and can I do anything to make it go higher? System prefs only take me up to 1024x768 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/183382-increase-resolution-with-intel-gma-950/ Share on other sites
shep
Hello, Search around there are hundreds of posts about this. If you give us some system spec's/what install disc we can try and point you in the right direction. I have GM965/X3100 video as you do and had serious issue's with the Kalyway install. I had much more luck with the iAtkos v7 install... Your only getting 1024x768 because your not using your video card for some reason or another. Post your "System Profiler" for display Here's mine: Intel GMA X3100: Chipset Model: GMA X3100 Type: Display Bus: Built-In VRAM (Total): 144 MB Vendor: Intel (0x8086) Device ID: 0x2a02 Revision ID: 0x0003 Displays: Display: Resolution: 1280 x 800 Depth: 32-Bit Color Core Image: Hardware Accelerated Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Quartz Extreme: Supported Built-In: Yes Display Connector: Status: No Display Connected See 'Core Image' and 'Quartz Extreme' that's the key [EDIT] Try this post seems like it could be a big help http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...0&start=220 Hope that helps Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/183382-increase-resolution-with-intel-gma-950/#findComment-1247030 Share on other sites

sendblink23
Did you select the correct CUSTOMIZE option for the Intel GMA 950 ? On mine it does say the exact Intel GMA I have, and by the way it from install had the correct Screen Resolution Head back reinsert your Distro OSX you used to install it on yoru machine... gointo VGA driver and select Intel GMA 950 make sure you select what your computer is laptop or desktop, after done & reboot it should work just fine Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/183382-increase-resolution-with-intel-gma-950/#findComment-1248127 Share on other sites
