I haven't had much success these last few days.

I followed some detailed instructions on how to install iAtkos v7. I started by partitioning my current HD - by shrinkning the Vista OS. I popped in the iAtkos DVD and using the Disk Utility, I formated the new partition as MAC OSX Journaled Extended. I then installed OSX, customizing based on my hardware. [Now, to be clear, I skipped on step before the install. The instructions said to select Utilities -> Darwin Boot. Well, there was no selection for installng Darwin Boot, so I installed Chameleon.]

Okay, so I followed the steps necessary to flag partition 1 and then I rebooted and received the "winload.exe" missing. So, I put the Vista disk in to repair the startup.

That is pretty much where I stopped following instructions b/c things went sour. I couldn't boot Vista - Operating System Missing.

Anyway, here is where I am now (besides screwed). If I pop in the OSX disk, and go to the terminal and list the partitions, I see them all. I can flag them, update them, write them, any thing I want. If I got to the Disk Utility it shows those partitions and not being mounted. And if I go to the command line in Vista, there are no partitions so selecting them is impossible.

It looks like a fresh install of Vista, BUT I thought I might check if someone might have a suggestion or two.

Thanks in advance.

Looks like you screwed up your MBR. The fact that you can see partitions in OS X, basically means that the record of the Vista about its partitions, namely MBR, is erased/damaged (your partitions with all the data are still intact). So you need to restore MBR. The above article should help you do this.
