bigjweb
I installed IATKOS 5i on my dell optiplex gx270. the problem I am having is it will only boot using -x. I have tried Ideneb 10.5 and 10.6 and they wouldn't boot at all. Normal boot mode freezes at grey screen after two mins. Cpus=1 makes it past grey screen but freezes at next screen(black). Cpus=2 behaves like my normal boot. Used Dark$ides procedure for his optiplex 270(claims it's up and running). Also tried changing System/sata/IDE/ from non-ahci to Intel ahci sata. Ahci sata gets the error when booting with -v: localhost kextd[74]:a link/load error occured for kernal extension/system/library/extensions/apple16x50 serial kext/contents/plugins/apple16x50ACPI.kext display:family specific matching fails apple ac97 codecAD198x:2-to-4 channel spreading enabled when i boot in -v using Dark$ides exact settings Bootloader: pc efi v9 Decrypter:apple decrypt smbios drivers: smbios for x86\applesmbios netkas kernal: voodoo 9.5.0 ACPI: apic driver disabler.kext remove power management.kext remove thermal.kext OHR Driver:system\SATA/IDE\Intel SATA (non achi) Network\Intel/pro/100ve I get the following: localhost mDNSResponder[22]: couln't read user-specified comp name; using default bDevice-000BDB7A2750.localb instead in Dark$ides setting I also get frozen on grey screen using cpus=1 and 2 My comp specs are: Dell optiplex gx270 p4 2.80 socket 478 Intel 865g chipset 1gig ddr sdram 80 gig 7200 rpm Parallel ATA Hard drive Samsung ATAPI/E-IDE DVD burner Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/182869-iatkos-only-boots-in-safe-mode/ Share on other sites
