Hey all,

Well after a couple weeks of foolin around I finally turned my Studio 1535 into a hackintosh...

My weapon of choice was the iPC 10.5.6 installer:

Initial install: only preselected driver was audio... install works great but after it boots i get the black screen (My GFX card is a GMA X3100). So I did some reading and found out that you could install the GMA X3000 drivers and would get a resolution of only 1024x768.. so i loaded up an older Ideneb 10.5.5 loader and installed only the GMA X3000 drivers and lo and behold it worked! hey it wasn't great but at least it allowed me to fool around until I could figure out a solution for my GFX card's black screen problem...

Out of the box... wifi worked (1510 802.11N half mini-card), i had to install the voodoo PS/2 Drivers for keyboard and mouse but now trackpad and keyboard are both working (as an additional bonus i also got two-finger scrolling working with my trackpad by following the tutorial found here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...pad+multi+touch

Webcam worked, Dell Studio 1535 volume control buttons worked and even display apple volume logo when volume is being changed.

So what to do about the 3100 Black screen issue? Well I found out that the version of IPC i had could be updated to 10.5.8 by using the OSX software update tool.. I had a feeling that this would load up the newer gfx card drivers so I read up on the sleep trick.. I knew it was a long shot but I gave it one anyways... and it worked!!! upgraded to 10.5.8 booted for the first time.. got black screen again, unplugged laptop from power waited a good 10 mins and moved my mouse only to find the most beautiful sight i'd been searching for these past couple weeks.... ill let the pic speak for itself...

really really glad for you as I can't get installation done successfully.

So,I would like to kindly request you to post a guide installation as mine is also Dell Studio 1535.

Should I choose to install with default setting?apart from default,what should I choose?what I must choose,if I chose with default,then it's say no keyboard.

When I choose default and voodoo kernel,ATI graphic, fixes and the rest,it showed one error at a time.

so,I am completely helpless.

so,please, help with a guide if possible.

and thank again!

hi,now I managed to install iPC 10.5.6 on my Dell Studio 1535 and face more problems now.

I installed with base system and chose on PS2 Device support option.

Then got into MAC OSx.

The problems are no sound, can't open DVD (as I didn't choose any drivers I think.)

My video card is :ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 Series 256MB.

And the screen resolution is only 1024*768 (I think my screen resolution can be up to 1200*800 which I use on window7 as I triple boot my laptop in " window7,vista and now MAC OSx" in order.)

And the big problems is that can't connect to internet.

so,please plesase,I am dying to use internet on MAC so what drivers(I believe 'kext')should I need to install(and how to do it as I am completely new to mac)and which sound kext file need to install.

I can't find any suitable kext file on my installation DVD ( I think it needs 'ALC883adxxx' something which doesn't include on DVD and also can't find for my 'ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 Series 256MB'.

thank you guys for your time and I really hope to get help from you guys.

And thank again!
