After it restarts Chameleon V2 starts and ask me which hdd to boot.I choose the one that Apple is on and it says loading Darwin then restarts..and thats it...Keeps restarting. Hardware: Dual xeon @ 3.2ghz a peice 4gigs ddr-2 ram @ 400 speed nvidia quadro fx 540 gpu HP model 08B4h motherboard/Intel chipset E7525/Southbridge Intel 82801EB(ICH5) 320 gig main hdd/160 seondary hdd/1tb external It does boot and can install it but after restart all it does is just restart and thats it.If any other info is required please let me know. I used iAtkos v7 as well as Kalyway 10.5.2. Thanks for the help Am running 7 at the moment and would like to be able to dual boot. What errors did you get when you tried Kalyway 10.5.2? novajeeper Posted September 29, 2009 Share Posted September 29, 2009 I haven't been able to boot Kalyway 10.5.2, though I have used iatkos v7 on this exact system. I'm attaching the install log for iatkos from two different installs to try and help. The first one (Round1) is from a basic install with minor customizations and with the default card of an ATI FireGL 5100. Couldn't get the card to work (QE/CI and only 1024x768) for some reason so I went out and bought a BFG 9800 GT 1G. One thing to note is that after install and a prompt for reboot, I had the same issue where the system would keep rebooting. For some reason I took out the install CD, restarted one last time and the system came up with no issue. The second round (Round2_NV9800GT) is where I went and purchased the BFG NV 9800GT 1G video card and went to install. After a couple issues, I notices that the first boot had to include the boot string "cpus=1 -f -v" (without quotes). After the initial boot to complete installation (usernames,MobileME configs, etc...) I didn't have to enter the string and Ssytem info brought up the correct info about my machine. I'm still working on getting the QE/CI enabled. What a pain!! I have tried everything to get this enabled, but still to no avail. I get good resolution but that's it. The only thing I'm not sure of, I actually plan on reinstalling this afternoon, is that I used the voodoo kernel 9.5 for all installs. For some reason this is the only wy that I could get it to work correctly. However, because there are XEON CPUs (same as your's), I think we can use the vanilla kernel.
