mm2ha
Hello everybody, I am in very deep trouble with my hackintosh (dell xps m1210 running 10.5.7)...everything was running well and great until I just got a Macbook and I tried to use the Migration Assistant tool to transfer things from my hackintosh to my new real mac. Needless to say, it did not work completely right (it seemed at the begining, but it wasnt), so I had to reinstall my Macbook (which is now fine). But then when I restarted my hackintosh, it went into the boot0: mbr boot0: done problem and did not want to boot anymore. So I tried to work around it by using Gparted to set the partition to boot, but that did not work. So then I tried to put in a Kalyway DVD and do some tricks with fdisk that I found online (they were single line commands, unfortunately not something like I found here: http://apple2pc.blogspot.com/2008/04/blink...86-install.html ). But then after I restarted, I was only greeted with blinking cursor and nothing else. So I dug deeper and tried to find guides for that, which I did (as already mentioned website). But now the problem is that my hackintosh will not boot ANYTHING, not even bootable CDs/DVDs that worked before, it just sits there at the blinking cursor, it just seems that if it wasnt even interested in what is in the DVD drive and just goes straight to blinking phase. So please, if anybody has an advice how to solve this, that would be great, because I am starting to get desperate and I need to get my data off of that notebook and transfer it to my Macbook and then just reinstall it fresh. Thank you for your help!!! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/182645-stuck-at-the-blinking-cursor-wont-even-boot-from-cddvd/ Share on other sites
