Loanstar
Hey all... So I've been running 10.5.5 smoothly for some time now. The only way to get it working was to buy the actual Apple version of the ATI HD 2600XT PCIe card. Stupid me, I decided to upgrade using the iDeneb 10.5.x combo update to go to 10.5.8 from iDeneb 10.5.5 which was running smoothly, and now, I can't get my card to report accurately in System Profiler. I would go back to 10.5.5, but now it is like a teaser to get it working. I am running an Asus P5E with a dual duo core intel setup. Everything else works fine except when looking at my graphics card in Profiler. Yukon2 is fine. FW, USB etc is all good and the 4 cpu graphs are reported accurately after a quick edit to my plist. As soon as I try to examine my graphics in Profiler, my system crashes with a multi language reboot message. You know that one... right? I would assume that using the default apple ATI Kexts would work as they did in 10.5.5 but I am at a loss as to how to restore them. If anyone has any advice, I would really appreciate it. I have tried the various ATI installers/injectors to no avail. Cheers all!
