Hi there,

Upon realizing (about 6 months ago) it was possible to install a Mac Operating System on to a Windows Hardware based PC, I wet myself (not literally). I installed Leo4All V1 on my HP Pavillion DV6000, which was a success but the only thing that didn't work was the graphics card or the built in audio.

Requiring a good PC with OSX on it, for university, I decided to order all my parts with the advice of a few friendly people on the forums (big thanks to broken).

Any enough rambling...

I plan to dual boot OSX Lepoard 10.5.6 with Windows Vista Home Premium (64-bit and Windows 7 when it gets released properly) with two 500GB Hardrives, using boot-132.

Here is my spec:

From left to right, top to bottom.

1 x Samsung 22x DVD±RW SATA Dual Layer Lightscribe ReWriter Black.

1 x Coolermaster 500W Extreme PSU with 12cm.

1 x Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Quad Core CPU 2.83GHz L2 Cache 12MB 1333MHz LGA775.

1 x Gigabyte 9500GT SLI 512MB GDDR2 PCI-E DVI.

1 x Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 64Bit OEM with Windows 7 upgrade voucher.

3 x ELIXIR memory 2GB DDR2 800 PC6400 RAM.

1 x NZXT Case Apollo black ATX midi tower NO PSU.

1 x Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P Ultra Durable 3 Motherboard (P45 Express Chipset).

2 x Western Digital 500GB hard disk drive Caviar SE16 SATA II 300 7200rpm 16MB.

1 x Opti-ups Internal Card Reader UCR36IN1B USB2.0 BLK for CF/SD/MS/Micro

2 x Akasa SATA II Silver HDD cable with Secure Latch @ £3.02(0.45) each.

My friend is coming over any minute to give me a hand.

Please feel free to give me some advice :D

I will keep you updated.

Ains!

Hey there,

I built it fine and all went well,

I followed a couple of guides, one was this one, http://auzigog.com/2008/12/23/hackintosh-20/:,

which I didnt have success with, the main reason was I was trying to install chameleon then install pc efi. This didnt work so I followed weaksauces guide.

https://leopardsoup.pbworks.com/session/log..._page=FrontPage

which was amazing, I booted the disc then installed Mac OSX.

Reebooted skipted instillation, now I have everything working, absoutley everything out of the box. The main reason I bought the board was because I knew it was so compatiable. Quad core, 6 gigs of ram is recognized running at 2.83ghz (havent overclocked)

I only have 3 issues, if anyone could help it would be greatley appricated.

1) Sometimes (I think its when I dont shut down properly) I get still waiting for root device, this only happens unoccisaley.

2) When I boot in to mac, shut down then go into windows I get crappy screen res, I have to switch manually (happens sometimes).

3) I have tried flashing the bios to a different version but sometimes my bios gets stuck on the boot screen and doesent do anything.

I assure you, this board is incredible, and has been a breeze to install.

Here is the link about the board :

Thanks :D
