I bought a D-Link DWA-110 and I try three different drivers: V. 1.1.7c and 1.2.2.0 from D-Link and a version from Ralink (RTUSB D71w-1.2.4.0_D2500-1.1.3.0 UI-1.6.8.0_2008_12_04).

Same problem with all: the USB card is recognized and perfectly installed, show me all Access Points surround me including my own, but when I choose a network and press connect nothing happens...

With DHCP the IP found is 169.254.252.96 so, I type a valid one but still not work.

Any solution?

Thanx

Thank you for your help. I already discover that the problem is related to a USB bug, I tried Ralink and D-Link drivers and with both I have problems with disconnection after some time. For now, I'm using D-link driver and when the connection is lost I just go to System Preferences / DWA-110, open Profile Drawer and choose activate again. Some times is necessary to unplug and re-plug the device to the USB port.

My earlier problem was caused just by my bad memory. I configured my router to filter MAC Addresses... I just add the DWA's mac to the router and works fine.

I want register here that the problem with disconnection increase if you use a USB hub. When I move the DWA-110 from the external hub to an direct USB port the problem happens less frequently.
