Little_Horn
I've been trying to install every ati inject files i've encountered so I can use OSX at full resolution. My laptop is an Asus A7Jb, with a radeon X1600 mobility (71c5). I always edit my edid and check if the device id and vendor id are correct. I'm getting mixed results, but none of them are satisfactory. The best result seems to be when I get a desktop with double the width of my screen, with some kind of interlaced lines and a very bright image. I can only see the left half of the desktop. Is this ever happened to anyone? I say "the best result" because I get CI/QE enabled, the screensavers work fine and I get absolutely no artifacts on screen. After copying the necessary files to /System/Library/Extensions, I do this: sudo -s chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions chown -R 0:0 /System/Library/Extensions rm -R /System/Library/Extensions.mkext diskutil repairpermissions / and restart Am I doing something wrong??? I also found that, if I upgrade to 10.5.8, I can't even get the interlaced desktop. Just a blue screen and a system halt. So, I'm using 10.5.6. Please help. Thanks in advance.
